Are you the best at what you do?
Everyone wants success, but very few achieve the success they dream about.

If you aren’t already, getting physically ready to start work is something you should be prioritizing. One of the best starting points to achieve this is to find what makes you most comfortable.
For example, put on clothing that makes you feel good. Feeling comfortable in the clothing you wear is such a simple thing to do, but it can set your day up for success. You’ll be able to focus on what actually needs your attention, not on what you look like or that itchy tag in your shirt.
Another important part to get physically ready is preparing the space you work in. Make sure your surroundings have the right ambiance for you to focus on what you need to get done. You will not work as well if you are in a distracting environment. So make getting your space ready a part of your routine.
Once you get physically ready, that sets you up for success when it comes to mindset and getting mentally ready. Making sure you are in the right headspace to work is so important for your productivity.
Part of this process is removing all of those mental distractions. This can be hard for many of us, but it’s crucial so we don’t overwhelm our minds with unnecessary distractions. When you sit down to work on a task you shouldn’t be allowing yourself to split time thinking about the list of other things you need to work on.
Our brains are not meant for multitasking, even if you think you are a great multitasker, I promise you aren’t utilizing your time as effectively as you think you are.
You should also make sure that you are mentally prioritizing what all needs to get done. Making a list works well for us and I encourage you to try to do the same if you are struggling to get things done on time.
Start the list off with the most important thing you need to get done. Leave the rest of your list alone until you’ve completed that top priority.
If you want to give yourself a better understanding of the timeframe you’ll need to complete your worklist you could also add the amount of time you think each task will take you. This is helpful to prepare yourself mentally for the amount of time you’ll need to dedicate to each project.
Tip: If you are someone who struggles to work in complete silence, try listening to instrumental or binaural music in the background. These two genres are great for productivity and don’t mess with your focus!
Getting ready mentally and physically is SO important to your productivity. You should be sure to set up a routine that allows you to prepare yourself for your workload. That process should focus on your physical comfort and making sure the environment you work in is conducive to your goals. Without being physically and mentally prepared you won’t be able to focus as well on the things you need to get done.
