Our message for die-hards today is all about hope and encouragement. For those who are currently experiencing self-doubt: remember that there are two worlds. There’s the outside world, and there’s your world. In the latter, the reality is that there are things you can’t control, and there’s nothing you can do about that. But in your world, you have the monopoly on control so focus on that.
Devote your time, energy, and practices on the realities and successes of your own world, and stop placing energy and focus on what you can’t control. Focus on yourself and you will be able to find more peace in your everyday life. This is no time for more hand-wringing because it is not fair to you, to your business, or to your customer.
The great Daniel Burris once shared in our previous episode, “In times of uncertainty, focus on what you are certain of”. So today, I encourage you, die-hards, to make a list of all the things you’re certain you can do and achieve, and just jump on that.
Because there is no point in focusing on things you cannot control. What you dream to happen can happen, and what you’re afraid will happen can happen. All will come to fruition and we will all live with it. The only thing that matters is how you deal with whatever life throws at you and how you make the best out of it. You don’t have to keep running away because bad things keep happening. What you need to do is find peace within yourself and shift your focus. Otherwise, you’re not going to be able to achieve things you’re working to achieve.
Die hards, take my mantra with you: “Everything is working out in your favor. Everything is happening for you, not to you.” If you take this deep within you, and you truly believe that good things will work out no matter how difficult it is to believe, you will begin to see the good and the opportunities along the road.
The message is simple: focus on what you CAN control and instill in yourself to keep believing that good things will happen because eventually, they will.
