This personal challenge e-book describes the personal evolution necessary to become a super-star.

Jeffrey shares how he began to understand the power behind live video and how he overcame his initial reluctance to the idea.

Jeffrey explains when he learned the power of going live in business. Back in 1998, he realized video training would be the future of the internet and training in general. Through the evolution of social media, Jeffrey started to notice every platform would feature video as the predominant method of communication. Youtube is one of the most prolific platforms that began this. At first, Jeffrey was reluctant to do lives consistently. He would go live once in a while but never remained consistent. Suddenly, when Covid-19 hit. He realized it was time to tap into this more to reach those people in need. He took everything video-focused and put it into a book so the readers could learn podcasting, marketing, and all forms of live streaming.

Jeffrey says when it comes to the initial reluctance you may feel to going live, the secret comes down to starting and being consistent. It’s not starting and just doing, it’s the consistency that matters. The combination of the pandemic and Jeffrey realizing his need to be connecting out to his audience regularly, ultimately led to the inspiration behind Jeffrey’s book. His focus was to turn prospects into paying customers, and he felt going live was the easiest way to do just that. Nowadays, we have incredible technology. You can go live on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, video is everywhere. Not only that but video is much more emotionally compelling.

Virtual Connections

Jeffrey dives into how he’s maintained consistency to go live as well as advice for those looking to go live without a social media following.

At the time of recording this podcast, Jeffrey has gone live for about 260 days straight. He says there hasn’t been one day that he felt unmotivated to do so. He shares this is due to the demand and need of his audience, he knows they need him and he believes in the value he has to offer. He finds that his live audience is teaching him at the same time as he teaches others, it’s a mutually beneficial experience. What he’s also found was that by providing such high-quality value, his current listeners would recommend him to others. This would result in Jeffrey’s audience growing bigger and bigger. Going live is not a fast win but Jeffrey says it’s a valuable win. You aren’t just going to gain someone’s money, you are going to gain their everlasting trust in you.

Jeffrey acknowledges he has a following already set before he went live but remember, he gained those followers in the first place because of the value he offered. If you are a salesperson who wants to start going live but currently has no online following, Jeffrey says the first step is to start podcasting. This is actually what initially inspired Jeffrey’s book. For this podcast, we work with a podcasting agency, Profitable Podcast Productions. The CEO, Tara Counterman, is actually the one who wrote the foreword for Jeffrey’s book as well! He recommends starting the podcast, inviting your customers or CEOs of their firms to come on the podcast and talk about their business. You make someone else a star by doing this, and you build a following as you reach their connections. After 6 months or so, you should start building an audience and you can also start going live.

Jeffrey wraps up with a few golden nuggets from the book and what you can expect to learn.

Jeffrey makes a comparison of going live to learning math in school. For example, you didn’t learn addition and subtraction and then jump right into algebra. Instead, you slowly built up. You learned addition, subtraction, then multiplication, and so on. This is the same as going live. You will learn over time and get better. Jeffrey shares that his book is solely focused on giving you the outline and foundations of what you need to do to go live successfully. However, the result falls on you. You have to not only go live, but you have to do it consistently. This is where many people don’t follow through. If you are looking to get a better understanding of going live and be provided all the outlines, this book is going to be the go-to resource for you. Don’t forget, consistency will be key!

Behind The Scenes: Turning Virtual Connections in to Paying Customers: The Bottomline

If you’re going to go live, you have to do it with passion. Don’t do it with a sense of obligation. Make a great community, make a few sales, and enjoy yourself. What better opportunity can you have than that? We want to end this by challenging you to not just buy the book and read the book, but rather, STUDY IT. If you study and put it into practice, you can bank the book. That’s the goal.
