Are you the best at what you do?
Everyone wants success, but very few achieve the success they dream about.

When most people get to work, they dawdle. They take their time making their coffee, they rearrange their desk, they talk to their co-workers, and before you know it, a lot of time has gone by. They procrastinate because they don’t want to get started. But what they don’t realize is that they’re losing money over it. All of that time procrastinating is time they could be selling!
This is NOT how to start your day off right! We’re not telling you not to drink coffee or be asocial. But when you’re not doing something productive right away, that affects your mindset. You’ll find yourself dragging your feet all day. Instead, you need to do something more fruitful right away so that you can get in that productive mindset.
You don’t necessarily have to roll out of bed and get straight to work. But you can do something more fruitful that’s going to put you in the right mindset to start working. For example, Jen typically takes a walk with the dogs in the mornings. This helps get her blood flowing and mind pumping. She’s not procrastinating doing this. She’s intentionally setting herself up for a good day.
Throughout your day, spend as much time as you can on revenue-generating activities. We encourage you to actually use a stopwatch. Each time you’re sitting down with a decision maker (someone who can actually say yes to you so you can get a sale) set the timer. Stop the timer when that period is over. Keep track of that time. When you have a good amount of data, look back at it. See how much time you’re actually spending. Then you know how much money you’re actually getting for your time. If you want to double the amount of money you’re making, you need to double the time you’re spending in front of decision makers. It’s that simple.
Remember that being busy is not the same as productivity. We encourage you to look closely at the outcomes of whatever you’re doing. Audit your time and ask yourself if what you’re spending time on is actually leading to more sales. When you’re honest with yourself about where your time goes, you’ll be able to focus your attention on what actually leads to sales.
