GOOD. BETTER. BEST.

WHICH ONE ARE YOU?

Are you the best at what you do?

Everyone wants success, but very few achieve the success they dream about.

This personal challenge e-book describes the personal evolution necessary to become a super-star.

Kody shares why the emphasis should be on relationships instead of marketing.

When it comes to relationship marketing, Kody says the meaning is all within the first word, relationship. Most people get this mixed up and find themselves focused on what they can get out of life, rather than what they can give. Kody says creating relationships should always be the first and foremost priority, and then marketing can come second. If you don’t believe this, you will get left behind in today’s world. It’s no longer just about a sales pitch, relationships are everything. As a rule of thumb, Kody says 80% of your efforts should be going towards the relationship, and the 20% can be focused on marketing.

We asked Kody about his book, “The Power of Human Connection”, and how that has impacted his company Send Out Cards. Kody shares that over the last 15 years, his company Send Out Cards has been utilizing a Network Marketing model. They’ve found this to work extremely well, especially because they offer a product that no other Network Marketing company seems to offer at this time. When he came out with his book, he found that they were leveraging what the marketplace already wanted from them. Since Kody’s company is focused on greeting cards and a gift system to help salespeople follow up with clients, writing this book and showcasing stories from entrepreneurs in different industries continued to grow the audience and customer base for Send Out Cards.

Power of Human Connection

Kody shares the first step to successfully create a personal brand for yourself.

Everybody today talks about branding yourself and how important a personal brand is. Kody tells us that his perspective on this is that you need to establish who you are to develop that brand. Part of creating a personal brand is about knowing who you are and having a relationship with yourself. Kody is huge on personal development, and he dives into this a lot in his book at well. He suggests to find out who you are first, and then give that to other people. As a first step to do this, Kody encourages everyone to start with personal development. By reading and listening to positive material, this will trigger things within yourself. Kody shares two parts to this – your inner prompting and your outer prompting. The inner prompting is the inner voice that speaks to you every day, this needs to be nourished. The outer prompting is what you do with who you are.

Kody says some simple ways to start establishing who you are and becoming the best version of you is by sending out positivity to others, attending events, and using positive affirmations. To maintain this positivity, it’s all about staying consistent. You have to wake up and intentionally decide that you will be happy. It’s the little things that keep your best self nourished. Whether that’s reading something productive in the morning or calming your mind before you go to sleep at night.

Kody dives into one of his 5 secrets when it comes to relationship marketing success.

Jeffrey’s favorite out of the secrets Kody shares is staying top of mind. This is usually the hardest thing to do, yet it’s at the core of your company. Kody mentions that alongside staying top of mind, there are steps that come along with doing that. He refers to this as the three-legged stool. One of the stools is all about appreciation and loving other people. The next stool is focused on having impeccable customer service. You must go above and beyond for your clients. Although you are appreciating them and reaching out, you should always go a level higher and deliver that exceptional customer service. Ironically, by appreciating those around you, you will be encouraged to do better and deliver quality results. Kody shares that all of these concepts go hand in hand.

We asked Kody how someone could start strengthening relationships right now, and the first thing he suggests is social media. Whether we like it or not, in today’s world, everything is digital. Using social media and staying connected is a great way to strengthen relationships. However, Kody highly recommends that you also implement tangible ways to strengthen relationships. Don’t solely rely on social media, mix it up, and occasionally send out a physical gift once in a while. Since most of us are so used to receiving messages, emails, and communicating via our phone, getting a physical gift in the mail will stand out.
